We are finally arrived in Kalkota, after enjoying a nice few days up to the islands.
I’ve been really bad not writing in English, so I’ll try to do a good update! And so everyone will understand what it is going on.
As I told you we finally went to the desert and we spent one night over there, sleeping under the stars, it was amazing! At the end, we spent 10 days in Jaisalmer and we enjoyed our time out there so much!!
Then, we took the train and stopped at Jodhpur. It was a nice city, also very busy, and we took the chance to go to the cinema, did some shopping (trying to change our western look”jeje), and we celebrated “Holi” there, which is a very important celebration here in India”. It is “The color Festival”. We were actually invited by the owner of our hostel to join him and his team to this party. It was absolutely interesting and you could see we got very nice and lovely pictures!
Our next stop would be Bombay but we dropped before in Mont Abu, to enjoy a bit of a natural park. We did trekking there for 5 hours, and even if it was really tiring; it was great to see a bit of nature!
Then, we finally arrived in Bombay after 15 hours traveling by train, again an interesting experience!
Bombay is a huge city, but we enjoyed it so much. We could see how a NGO works and we could figure out how we will collaborate later.
Through our trip we are meeting a lot of nice people, and it is really motivating to know about their lives, their trips, so you can also give/get some nice advice. And we hope to keep in touch with some of them!!
To finish with the first part of our trip we went up to this nice Havelock island just to relax, to read, to write in our diaries, and to think about what we were living since we arrived one month and a half ago…a lot of feelings, a lot of outputs…
And so we are now in Kalkota. In our way we have heard a lot about this city and we hope we will be ok, even though it is one of the biggest cities in India! Tomorrow we will go to visit one of the biggest NGO to see where we can work. Then, find a place to stay, and just to try to make our stay good!
So I soon as we get this house you are welcome to visit us!!
We are feeling great and taking care of ourselves. It is sometimes a hard experience but we are always trying to take advantage of this adventure and to learn about “All that India offers you”.
So another life begins now, I will tell you how it goes!!!
Take care everybody, tanti baci!!
